They do have inexpensive USB to RS232 adapters for like 12 bucks, a USB cable with a RS232 head that has the circuitry in it. So electrically “pulling the plug” if you will, but for the server, not the UPS. Which can save you if a reboot doesn’t take after an update and the server is 500 miles away in a secure facility at night. Posted in Microcontrollers, Retrocomputing, Wireless Hacks Tagged adapter, bipolar locig, bluetooth, bridge, rs-232, rs232, serial, vintage, wifi, wireless Post navigationĪre you trying to remote boot the server? or querying the UPS for event status? Most of the large servers I have worked with have alternate NIC adapters that allow direct rebooting/control via console of the server through that separate internet connection. ’s board would sure have made it easier to IoT-ify this old LED signboard. RS-232 on serial interfaces was around for a long time, so we’ve definitely not seen the end of projects like this. Alternately, one can connect an ESP32 to one’s computer over USB, and run firmware that bridges any serial data directly to the adapter on the other end.ĭesign files including schematic, bill of materials, and PCB design are shared online, and you can see a brief tour of the adapter in the video, embedded below. The nice thing about the ST3232 transceiver is that it is not only small, but can work from a 3 V supply with only four 0.1 uF capacitors needed for the internal charge pumps.Īs for actually using the adapter, says that the adapter’s serial port is exposed over TCP on port 23 (Telnet) which is supported by some programs and hardware. It uses the ST3232 chip to communicate at 3 V logic levels on the microcontroller side, supports bipolar logic up to +/-13 V on the vintage hardware side, and a rudimentary web interface allows setting hardware parameters like baud rate. The adapter features an ESP32 and is attached to a DB-9 plug, so it’s nice and small. Rather than deal with cables and wired adapters, decided to design a wireless adapter with WiFi and Bluetooth on one end, and true RS-232 on the other. Vintage electronics may expect the serial data to be at bipolar voltage levels that are higher than what the typical microcontroller is used to slinging, and that was the situation faced with some vintage benchtop equipment. The issue is the fact that the older the equipment, the more likely it is to be a bit old-fashioned about how it expects to speak RS-232. There is a gotcha lurking in wait for hackers who look at a piece of equipment, see a port labeled “Serial / RS-232”, and start to get ideas.

OBS Studio for Windows - For Streaming to Youtube.Once the Title and Description are configured, i will ensure that the streamkey is properly updated in tehe OBS and the streaming shows active. The good thing is the title and description will be almost similar for all days. I was manually setting up everything either few hours before or the previous day. Since the session starts at 7 AM, I need to setup prior related to the StreamKey, Stream Title, Date, Category, Thumbnails and other settings in the Youtube Studio Portal. In this post i would like to share how we setup this with minimal efforts and automate the setup using Google Apps Script. We already have a Youtube channel which has around 9K subscribers and we have tried for couple of days using YoutubeLive Stream and it worked well and infact more than 100+ students participated in the community on a daily basis. I have been suggesting the Youtube Live streaming to attend some of these workshops and sessions online and remain connected with the community. Usually students from various branches gather daily in the nearby NGO centres to attend the classess and sessions in the morning at 7AM. With that said, many of the social community also facing the same challenges and good that we have enough platforms now to meet online through hangouts, skype, zoom etc. Some of them may know that i have been a student/volunteer of a NGO and during this quarantine time it’s hard to get together and meet the community. With averages of 27.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists while shooting 50.4 percent from the field, DeRozan was one of the biggest pleasant surprises in fantasy. He would have arguably the best season of his career, which is not something you normally see from a player who had been in the league for more than a decade. The other was bringing over DeRozan from the Spurs in another sign and trade. One was acquiring point guard Lonzo Ball in a sign-and-trade with the Pelicans. The Bulls weren't done yet and made two big splashes heading into the 2021-22 season. While he couldn't get them into the playoffs, he immediately added legitimacy to the team, forming a formidable one-two punch with Zach LaVine. The first significant move they made was acquiring center Nikola Vucevic from the Magic during the 2020-21 season. When the Bulls turned things over to new management, they wasted no time trying to remake the roster. DeRozan announced that he would enter the 2009 NBA Draft after his freshman year and was selected ninth overall in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors. DeRozan, who scored 10 or more points in each of his final nine games of the season, led USC in field goals (5.5) per game while also checking in second in both rebounds (5.7) and points (13.9) per game. The Compton, California native helped lead USC to the 2009 NCAA Tournament second round before losing to Michigan State - the Spartans would end up playing in the NCAA title game that same season. He led USC to the Pac-10 Tournament title as the Trojans defeated Arizona State. Learn more about DeRozan by following him on Twitter and on Instagram DeRozan was named the 2009 Pac-10 Tournament MVP. He and fellow NBA star Kevin Love created a PSA video to raise awareness of the issue and provide information about various mental health resources. In addition, DeRozan is an advocate for those suffering from depression. The cause is particularly close to DeRozan's heart as his mother has lived with the disease for many years. He later became an ambassador for Lupus Canada, raising awareness and helping those affected by lupus. In 2010 he started DeMar's Slam Dunk Book Club, aimed at promoting literacy in schools. Since joining the NBA, DeRozan has become involved in a number of charitable causes. In addition, he earned first-team Parade All-American honors and First Team Best in the West honors. He also played in the Nike Hoop Summit and the 2008 Jordan Brand Classic at Madison Square Garden. DeRozan was a member of the 2008 McDonald's All-American Team and won the 2008 McDonald's All-American Slam Dunk Competition. He was named the Moore League Most Valuable Player Award and selected to the California All-State team. DeRozan received a number of accolades for his outstanding play as a senior. He continued to thrive over the next three seasons, finishing his senior year with per-game averages of 29.2 points and 7.9 rebounds while leading Compton to its second consecutive league title. DeRozan averaged 26.1 points and 8.4 rebounds as a freshman. He attended Compton High School, where he played on the varsity basketball team for four years. Read Past OutlooksĭeMar Darnell DeRozan was born in Compton, California, to Frank and Diane DeRozan. He has the benefit of returning for a third season with the familiar core of Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic, who will help share the load offensively and provide enough gravity to leave him room to operate. DeRozan can only be expected to enter the 2023-24 season with the usual chip on his shoulder, looking to make an early impact and get his team on the right track. He has also shown improvement in ball handling and passing, averaging more than 5.0 assists per game in five of the last six seasons. Looking ahead, DeRozan should be able to continue using his top-tier footwork and go-to mid-range game to rack up consistent scoring in the low-to-mid 20s per outing. On the other hand, his three-point shooting took a step back from a career-best average of 35.2 percent in the 2021-22 season, while he also remained under 2.0 attempts per game. Despite being part of an ever-changing roster due to injuries during the 2022-23 season, DeRozan put together another impressive campaign with solid numbers across the stat sheet, topped off by his patented ability to earn trips to the foul line, averaging 7.1 free-throw attempts per game. The mid-range assassin has improved his efficiency over the last few years, shooting over 49 percent from the field through four successive seasons. DeRozan is coming off his second year with the Bulls, where he shot 50.4 percent from the field for the second consecutive season. We’ve got some gorgeous and affordable rugs right HERE for you. The brunt colored one they used helps make the wood pieces of furniture they selected mesh well with the white sofa and chair. Select a rug that will be neutral enough but still give you some color. Mix your patterns and it will give you a great layered look. I really think this could work with any color and not just the blue and white they used. Really they can be function and as for the same reason as painting the walls white, it makes the accessories and greenery pop. Any spills, mess, etc and I just whipped it off and through it in the wash. I have to tell you I had a slipcovered sofa for 10 years and loved it. Okay I hear y’all chiming in and saying “but I have kids!”. The white gives this room a blank slate for the warm tones of furniture and pops of greenery. Either using brick or wood paneling will get you the look. The point is to add some architectural look to your walls when painting them white. Lucky ducks! But there are ways to get the look even when your home wasn’t constructed with it like this post. Joanna and Chip are known for their shiplap that seems to be uncovered in all the homes they work on in Waco. use shiplap on your walls and paint everything white. You can either grab the whole design or take bits of it and work them into your own aesthetic. So you ready to check it ou?!! Our DDU posts have become very popular and I love taking rooms from designers and helping you breakdown the design to get a similar look in your own home. And that is why I selected this gorgeous living room from them for this week’s Design Details Uncovered. In the end, Joanna said her goal was to create “intentional” spaces to be filled with memories by her family.Who’s ready for a Fixer Upper living room?!! If you don’t know who Chip and Joanna Gaines are from the hit HGTV show Fixer Upper, then here is a dose of fabulous from them! Joanna is known for her rustic farmhouse look with pops of modern industrial charm. “Kids love nooks and crannies,” she said of the “fun spot” “They love sitting in this little nook.” The playroom upstairs TODAY Joanna and Chip converted unfinished attic space into an area where the kids can get creative or just relax, surrounded by bright light. Cody Ulrichįor her older kids, there’s the perfect playroom upstairs. So it's just a sweet space.” The book wall is one of Joanna's favorite pieces of Crew's nursery. The kids love to read to him in this little rocker. “And I think the biggest thing is his book wall, with a ton of books from family and friends. And so that's all kind of tied in there,” she said. I love a little bit of some modern elements. “I love when nurseries can be pretty neutral and soft. Joanna explained to TODAY some of the reasons she went with a simple, but elegant design when it came to her youngest son’s room. She and husband, Chip, welcomed their fifth child in June, and she previously provided a peek inside the room of on the pages of her “Magnolia Journal” magazine several months ago. The room many people have paid close attention to lately is the nursery, home to baby Crew, the newest addition to the Gaines family. Another is the huge timepiece that hangs on the wall. I think that's special." TODAYĪmong her favorite pieces are vintage street signs she and her husband, Chip, found in New York on their honeymoon. “The pieces in here are really special.” "This is something that Chip and I found years ago," Joanna said. “I didn't have a ton of space to work with, but there's something about that that I love,” she said. Joanna, who describes her designing tips and philosophy in her new book, “Homebody,” said she considers her family's living room the heart of the home. It's just the idea that, ‘Hey, I can set my keys down.’ It's just that nice, warm welcome,” she said. But you don't need a designated room to feel like you've stepped into a home, just some purpose, she told TODAY’s Jenna Bush Hager. The first steps inside her farmhouse are into a carved entry space filled with plants and large mirrors.
And then, I snap only to the left or right of the screen, never to the top or bottom. It’s nice that resizes things automatically, but if I have nothing else open, I don’t need my filing manager window to take up the whole or even half of the screen… With Windows, I basically only snap only 2 windows or even just 1 window to let me access desktop or some other app "behind" the one in focus that I need to see but not interact with. That’s kind of the issue with tiling window managers, which are all the rage among the Linux enthusiasts. That’s a good point about non-optimal size. This new functionality is truly impressive and useful. But in Windows 11 22H2, it has gotten even better. Snap was already an incredibly full-featured and useful multitasking feature. In other words, you can complete the layout using just the keyboard now. And when this interface is triggered by the keyboard, each layout choice will have a number overlay, which lets you select a layout with the keyboard.įor example, if you type WINKEY + Z and then “1” to select the first layout, Snap Layouts will display numbered choices for each screen position in that layout. Those who prefer keyboard shortcuts can now type WINKEY + Z to display the Snap Layouts pane for the active application window. But this new Snap Layouts interface is even smarter than that: as you mouse into a layout, the available screen areas will light up in turn, indicating that you can choose exactly where you want to put that window, complete with a Snap Assist preview. Obviously, you can choose a layout by mousing over to it. The appearance of this pane hints that you can do something with it, and so if you drag the window you’re dragging to the pane, it will expand and display the available Snap Layouts. The first improvement impacts mouse/touchpad and touch users: now, when you move an application window in any way, a new Snap Layouts pane descends from the top of the screen. And it has done so in ways that will please those who rely on a mouse/touchpad, touch, or even the keyboard for multitasking. With Windows 11 22H2, Microsoft may have finally solved the discoverability issue. But this feature only kicks in when you drag the window near a screen edge. Microsoft has tried to help users with various innovations along the way, like Snap Assist, which provides a visual hint that an app window can be snapped when you move it around. But Snap has always suffered from an obvious problem: it’s never been particularly discoverable. The Snap feature debuted back in Windows 7 as Aero Snap, and it took on new importance in the Windows 8.x era because of that system’s initial reliance on full-screen apps that could be snapped but not viewed in floating windows. And Snap Groups brings a sense of permanence to Snap Layouts by remembering previous layouts you’ve created and presenting them as an option when you mouse over the Taskbar icon of an app that was previously snapped: when you do, a Snap Group thumbnail will appear next to the normal Taskbar thumbnail for that app so that you can rearrange the windows in the previous layout. Recording the vocals live in the studio, the band worked a lot with tape, using tape scratching effects to the give the record an even more dubbier feel. As ever, Dunis focuses primarily on vocals, along with synths, piano, and live electronic drums, with Coyes on synths, drum programming, and dubbing on a mixing console. The result, 'Sea of Sand' feels more like a miniLP, with a diverse mix of experimental beats, and extended electronic, popdubs. The band, who founded themselves on innovative technology, and a pragmatic approach to sound and composition recorded the EP together in their home studio, Dreamfuzz. 'Sea of Sand' once against sees the act once again teaming up with an international label, having released on some of the most integral and pioneering imprints in the scene.
